| Nothing very spectacular speckles Ise Nanao's biography thus far. She grew up in a relatively wealthy area of Rukongai, attended and graduated the Shinigami Academy, and then became a seated officer of the Eighth Division. During the past year, there haven't been any especial highlights in her life; for the most part, she has been filing paperwork and training for the upcoming war - and avoiding her amorous captain. In recent months, however, Nanao has been experiencing discouragement. Doubt constantly hounds her as she observes the New Movement: they’re stronger, faster, and she may dare say… a bit smarter. While the Old Movement is trying its best to face the approaching battle with optimism and readiness, Nanao is having trouble finding the fruits of their labor. While she is working egregiously hard to achieve bankai, she finds herself wondering… what next? As Urahara Kisuke – and Aizen himself – had said, every shinigami has a limit. If Aizen and his army have exceeded that limit, Nanao wonders how many of their own it would take to defeat them. She’s also very critical of how much time they have left: how many captain-level shinigami can they possibly produce in such a short time? Unfortunately, despite Nanao’s fears and doubts, she can’t finder herself able to accept the profane idea of hollowization. Well… not yet, at least. |
